Peace of mind for our parents is a top priority, which is why all of our faculty and personnel must pass two background checks to even be considered for employment. The first check is an initial name-based check and is followed by an FBI fingerprint check.
Our staff accrue a minimum of 25 CEU’s (Continuing Education Units) in Early Childhood Education each year. This means they are always going above and beyond the state standards for childcare providers.
We are passionate about providing the safest environment for our children. Every member of our staff is trained in First Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness. Additional training provides our staff with skills needed to create a quality learning environment. Our staff participate in training for curriculum, child development, classroom arrangement and management, age-appropriate activities, nutrition, field trip planning and OSHA regulations to ensure a quality learning environment for your child. We also encourage our staff to pursue further education through CDA and CCP programs as well as attend professional training conferences.
Mercedes Gilbert, OWNER, works full time at the school. She has a BA from the University of Texas Pan American in Education and has over 9 years of experience in elementary and early childhood education. She is responsible for new staff training, ensuring our AdvancEd accrediated curriculum is being implemented in the classrooms, and supporting teachers daily in their classroom routines.
Jeff Gilbert, OWNER, will be responsible for all sales, marketing, and accounts. He has over 15 years of business management, sales and marketing experience.
Chrissy Creech, DIRECTOR, has over 20 years of preschool experience, with most of those years being a director. She is currently attending college to complete her degree in Child Psychology. She will manage day-to-day operations, supervise all KRK employees and ensure staff training is maintained, and ensure positive family communication is maintained.
